How do I get my 2.5y.o. to sleep?
My daughter lives at two different houses, her father's house, and mine. At her father's house, I can get her to sleep by giving her her bottle (yes I haven't been able to get rid of it yet) and reading a boring adult book to her. She also has her own room at her father's. Here, she does not have her own room. She has been in a toddler bed since before she was two; crib escape artist. (She had a sleep over with her bf last week and we put them in the crib. Five minutes later he was crying because she was climbing out of his crib!) I've always had to hold her down to lay with me to get her to sleep most of the time. The same method that works at her father's won't work here. Over the past week or two, when I try to get her to sleep, she has been working her self up so much that she pukes. So I know I can't do that anymore, but if I don't make her lay with me, she won't ever go to sleep for me. How can I get her to go to sleep? I'm really getting even more stressed out because she is puking from being worked-up and me not being able to get her to sleep.
