What is the best espionage/Military-action/acti… book?

I've never read any of the OP center books, but it really seems like you're looking for Clancy. Some of his books move really, really slowly (he describes a torpedo for a page and a half in 'Hunt for Red October' before detonating it) Try reading "Red Storm Rising" its by Clancy, but he makes the war happen pretty quick.
