Can adults on the Sims 3 read toddler books if they have the "Childish" trait?

I don't mean them reading the books to toddlers, just them reading it themselves. I need to read a total of 50 books to help with writing books and the children books tend to have very low page numbers, so I'm wondering if it would help, because that would get my total up quite a bit.
